List building can be one of the most lucrative things you do online, especially when the long-term impact of list building is taken into account.
Obviously the beginning steps to list building are:
1) Find a niche in which to list build
2) Create a web site around the theme of your niche
3) Create a squeeze page on your web site to subscribe visitors
4) Send traffic to the squeeze page
5) Write emails and load them into your autoresponder
So how do you list build by using rapport?
One of the things that I think is really important for creating rapport and for creating a large list fast is writing a lot of content to be placed on the web.
What happens is that people will read your content, many times a lot of your content, and get to know you before you even know they exist. That is what I call building rapport – and you don’t even directly know that it is occurring!
People read your articles and other web content, try out some of your ideas, and begin to think of you as an expert. That is really a good thing, because the more highly people think of you, the more they trust you and will buy from you.
So how do I recommend you do this for list building?
1) Write lots of content
2) Post it online on as many of the big web directories and article directories as you can
3) Make sure you use your name, not a pen name – you are building credibility with your name, so you have to use your name. Or if you absolutely have to be anonymous, do all of your writing and selling in a pen name – just remember that your readers are building a relationship with your pen name, not you and your name. So the pen name is the one that they will have rapport with. And the pen name is the one that will sell the most of your products.
