It seems that Antivirus Information has been well blended into the corporate way of life. Why? Because corporations have the money. You and I as consumers do not have much of a say into the whole process of antivirus technology.
Now there has been some speculation for several years now that AV companies were in bed with the virus writers. I do not really think that is the case. However, I do not think that morality drives their corporate mentality.
I view them as true capitalist. Think about it. Way back in time when radar detectors first came out who did they benefit? The consumer of course. Then not long after law enforcement had to get their radar systems upgraded so the new detectors would not be as effective. Guess what? Same companies. Then a new version of a detector comes out. Hmmmm.. Get the picture now?
Does that scenario seem odd to you?
I do think it is unusual that we have not heard of any new viruses running rampant. We used to hear about a killer virus/worm on the nightly news for the day. But in this day of political upheaval in good ole Washington; maybe viruses are really yesterdays news.
Maybe, just maybe, the government, NSA, CIA, FBI or military intelligence has captured all of the virus writers and drafted them into fighting Osama Bin Laden. Maybe they are fighting the illegal alien problem from within Mexico.
I guess it could be one of those answers but I like thinking that maybe they got smart and learned SEO and have become Top AdSense, Affiliate or Internet Marketers!
