If you have been looking for information about potty training your child, you have probably come across potty training dolls. These dolls can be a good tool to help your child grasp the concept of potty training, but are they really necessary. Let’s take a look at what potty training dolls are, how they can benefit you and do you really need them.
A potty training doll is a special doll that can essentially pee. It usually comes equipped with its own little potty chair and some training pants. The doll will also have some sort of cup or bottle that allows it to “drink” water. The water will then of course come back out the other end, preferably while the doll sits on the potty chair.
By now you may be wondering how this can benefit both you and your child in the potty training process. When you child is starting to show interest in using the potty, you bring out the doll and talk your child through the process. Start by letting your child feed the doll the liquid, and have him set the doll on the potty.
